Introducing our New EMEA Home in Dublin, Ireland

Introducing our new EMEA home in Dublin, Ireland

The technology skills gap is a global problem. No region is immune. In Europe alone, a study found that 40% of companies struggle to find talent with information and communications technology (ICT) skills. The European Commission study also estimates there will be 500,000 ICT job vacancies by 2020. All the while, the pace of change is accelerating, making it harder for technologists who already have jobs to keep up.

We built Pluralsight to solve these exact problems, and over the last several years, we’ve expanded our platform to better tackle them. We’ve added thousands of new courses in high-demand areas like cloud, mobile, security and data. We’ve developed experiences that help leaders measure skills, identify strengths and weaknesses, and align learning to key objectives. To support this growth, it’s time to expand again.

I’m pleased to announce that in 2018, we’re opening a new EMEA headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. The city has a thriving and fast-growing tech community and is already home to some of the biggest names in our industry. So it’s only fitting that we chose it as our new home.

This new office represents a significant investment in the region, as we plan to hire 150 people across a variety of roles over the next few years. We estimate that our investment will bring more than €40 million to the local economy. But more importantly, our new headquarters and Dublin-based team put us closer to our customers in Europe and beyond — many of whom we’ve been working with for years, including VMware and Version1. Now instead of serving them from around the world, we’ll be just minutes away.

Dublin’s thriving tech scene will allow us to build a strong team of high-caliber, multi-lingual talent. This team will work to bring our platform to more businesses in Europe, helping enterprise leaders identify the skills gaps on their teams and acquire the talent needed to remain competitive.

I can’t tell you how excited I am about this new opportunity for growth. We’ll be finalizing our exact location in the coming weeks but in the meantime, I encourage anyone in the Dublin area who’s passionate about closing the tech skills gap to look at our job openings and learn more about what we do. We can’t wait to meet you!
