Aaron Staines

Aaron Staines has been employed in County Government for over 10 years. His current role is a Network Engineer, where he designs and maintains complex network environments. Aaron also worked as a Certified Michigan Police Officer for over 10 years, which give him a unique perspective on network security design and implementation. Aaron states that he’s been fortunate for having the opportunity to work with multiple vendor’s equipment, which he believes is a key to a well-rounded engineer. Some of the equipment Aaron has maintained includes Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and his favorite Ubiquiti. Aaron also maintains multiple industry leading certifications including a CCISO certification from the EC-Council. Aaron also holds a bachelor’s degree in IT from Western Governors University. Aaron is always willing to teach, and loves handing down knowledge to tomorrows next engineer, he hopes to see you in his classes on Pluralsight!
